Job Description
This position will lead the development of long-range plan, working with finance, marketing, product management, and risk teams. Support development of the overall P&L, key metrics / dashboards, and management reports. Develop reports and analytics that will support growth initiatives across business lines within the RPS credit card portfolio.
Specific responsibilities include:
Create and maintain our long term (3-5 year) financial plan for RPS’ credit portfolio
Develop and manage reporting to explain the key drivers of the plan
Partner with teams in RPS finance to develop supplemental reporting
Partner key stakeholders in product and strategy to develop growth initiatives and incorporate them into the long-range plan
Utilize financial tools and modeling to produce portfolio forecasts
Create insightful, actionable analyses to explain portfolio variances and trends
Analyze portfolio risks and opportunities and recommend actions
Prepare presentations and explain the growth strategy
Optimize long range plan reporting and implement quality control measures
This role is hybrid. Team members who are in a hybrid role typically spend three days a week at a U.S. Bank location, while having flexibility on their work location for the other working days.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
Six or more years of related experience
Skills & Experience
Well-developed financial analysis, forecasting and planning
Thorough knowledge of financial modeling and valuation techniques
Detailed financial forecasting and reporting experience
Knowledge of payment/credit card industry and key drivers preferred
Knowledge of bank-specific financial statements and key metrics (P&L, balance sheet, capital)
Ability to present complex data in a comprehensive yet concise manner
Self-starter that can work independently to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Big-picture thinker but pays attention to detail
Capable of managing multiple concurrent projects, and able to prioritize and deliver projects in a timely and effective manner
Demonstrated leadership and/or managerial skills
Flexibility/Adaptability
Strong interpersonal skills
Critical thinking
Experience using tools such as SAS/SQL desirable
MBA and/or CFA preferred
