Job DescriptionThis Director of Data Analytics will be responsible for leading advanced analytics, complex model designs, business intelligence and predictive methodologies & capabilities for Payment Systems (CPS), one of our largest divisions.

The highly visible role will manage our Development, Architecture, Data Science, and Business Intelligence & CMPIS Product Management groups. These teams are chartered to build our data platform and roadmap across all CPS platforms, and oversight includes all relevant data governance & training of super users on the data environment/tools. Additionally, the team will lead the optimization of our technology stack to allow for the analyses of large data sets to drive data-driven strategies.

Ultimately, this executive will lead the data management & advanced analytics for CPS to support, enable, and influence business decisions. The leader will be responsible for the end-to-end data framework to ensure our operations best-in-class, real-time in nature, and agile to enable growth. As such, the executive will be the face of data and liaison appropriately across our most senior leaders in the organization (Commercial, Technology, Operations, Finance, General Managers, Marketing, etc.)

RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES Provide the leadership, strategy, and development to our advanced analytics & business intelligence organizations Continue the development of our high-performing teams to optimize CPS’ data & analytics capability Drive the development of the platform & strategy that brings the Big Data capability to CPS Enable core business processes such as business forecasting, deal profitability, market & prospect prioritization, rebate management/pricing, market dynamics, customer & portfolio analytics – by delivering a technology stack that enables its management, analysis and visualization of large data sets Leverage advanced analytic tools and technology to improve the value proposition of our core product offerings, which supports the commercial efforts in demonstrating our industry-leading capabilities to our customers Build strong liaisons & collaborate with internal data analytics groups, while collaborating with internal partners to collect and manage data (Finance, HR, COO group, etc.) Participate as the data leader in the design and implementation of Business Development activities with a focus on better targeting prospects and leads Support tool development that facilitates the management, tracking, and reporting of client and employee incentives Provide general support including ad-hoc analysis Pursue continued process improvements for better management & data usage for decision making Actively ensure compliance with the U.S. Bank Code of Ethics and all Anti-Money Laundering, Bank Secrecy Act, information security and suspicious activity reporting requirements, policies and procedures

QUALIFICATIONS Advanced knowledge of data science BA in finance, data, technology/computer science or related field MA/MBA in finance, data, technology/computer science or equivalent work experience 10+ years of experience in financial services 10+ years of experience in data management & business intelligence Well-developed verbal communication and written communication skills - in line with an executive presence Excellent analytical and decision-making skills. Ability to develop, report, and explain business and analytics to diverse audiences Well-rounded technology and data leadership – someone who has considerable tact, influence, and team-building skills Experienced at driving organizational change through partnership, collaboration and leadership rather than leveraging title or line of authority
