U.S. Bank Deposit Program Lead - State Farm Alliance in MINNEAPOLIS, Minnesota

We are looking for a dynamic leader to launch and build the deposit business and enrich the connection with State Farm mutual, their agents and customers as part of the new U.S. Bank and State Farm Alliance. This leader will align with both internal and external partners to shape the future of deposit growth through Alliance partnerships. They will provide strategic, internal/external communication and execution leadership through the start-up, expansion and full integration of the State Farm Alliance into U.S. Bank’s ongoing business.

Areas of focus:

  • Align strategic plan and resources across all key internal and external partners to deliver financial success

  • Strategic business and execution plan for growth

  • Maximizes the opportunity created through the alliance with State Farm and their Agent network

  • Aligns with U.S. Bank goals, customer experience and strategic priorities

  • Meets all risk and compliance requirements

  • Financial responsibility for the Deposit Program

  • Create a ‘Wow’ experience for acquired and new deposit program customers through acquisition, onboarding and lifecycle management

  • Continuous improvement to build the business and uncover new opportunities with this groundbreaking alliance

  • Deliver a best in class customer experience through flawless execution across partner and U.S. Bank channels that uniquely optimizes the alliance

  • Lead a team of direct reports and influence through matrix leadership both within U.S. Bank and with the partner

This leader will be responsible for delivering the success of the Deposit Program – a great Alliance relationship, new customer growth and financial plan. Takes a leadership role in all aspects of the Deposit Program strategy including product/pricing, customer experience, risk and compliance, competitive positioning and alignment of the Deposit Program with the overall U.S. Bank and State Farm Alliance.


Essential qualifications:

  1. 10 years of banking or other relevant work experience.

  2. 5 years of management experience.

  3. BA/MBA in finance, economics or other related field.

  4. Well-developed leadership abilities and strategic management skills.

  5. Proven understanding of pricing and the economics of banking

  6. Well-developed verbal and written communication skills.

  7. Proven decision-making and problem-solving skills.

  8. Considerable tact, diplomacy and people skills.

Preferred qualifications:

  1. Experience starting a new function and overcoming obstacles

  2. Relationship management of a large external partner from business development through ongoing execution

  3. Experience leading a product or sales team in financial services or another highly regulated industry

  4. Proven story-telling and influencing ability through verbal and written methods to executive management

  5. Developing and driving multiple initiatives from start to finish: strategic planning/roadmap to detail design to post-implementation and success measurement.
