U.S. Bank Credit Loss Allowance Financial Analyst in MINNEAPOLIS, Minnesota
The Credit Loss Allowance Financial Analyst updates analysis supporting internal management reporting and external financial reporting on credit loss reserve estimates. Effective communication skills, a strong financial reporting background, and relevant background knowledge in financial analysis and credit risk will ensure a successful execution of this function.
Develop and execute reporting routines to supportreporting and analysis of the Allowance for Credit Loss (ACL) credit reservesand provision expense
Update allowance documentation andreporting to communicate key credit information in executive managementreports, regulatory reporting, and other risk management and financialreporting functions.
Develop reports and data managementprocedures to support calculation, reporting, review, and forecasting ofloan loss allowance components.
Develop new reports and schedulesto improve transparency in credit risk trends affecting business line andproduct line provision results and forecasts.
Execute SOX control process andretain key evidence to support GL entries and financial reportingschedules related to allowance and credit statistics
Investigate and interpret various dataand reports on credit quality levels and trends. Solicit information fromsubject matter experts in credit risk management and quantitative modeldevelopment and validation.
Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
Three to five years of applicable experience
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (Finance, Accounting, or Economics) or equivalent work experience
3 to 5 years of experience in credit analysis or financial reporting
Resourceful problem solver, with ability to identify and correct reporting issues
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Familiarity with financial statements
Familiarity with SAS Software
Familiarity with CECL account standards
