Job Description
This position will support U.S. Bank’s emerging Corporate Finance group and its strategy work. We are seeking a leader who has experience in the trenches of Corporate Finance, understanding how forecasting works, etc., along with the unique ability to leverage their perspective of how external constituents perform analysis.
The ideal candidate possesses an analytical mindset, with an entrepreneurial spirit to build, and serve the needs of senior management. The selected individual will have likely served in the investment community as an Analyst or Investor and can help our growing internal Corporate Finance function tie together our internal view with external expectations. Our Corporate Finance team will further help inform business-level strategies and drive large initiatives for the Institution.
JOB FUNTION & RESPONSIBILITIES
Identify and evaluate business opportunities through data based on our Corporate Finance strategic priorities
Lead and manage a team of 2+ that demonstrates a blend of both understanding the complete FP&A process while representing an external consultative view
Support strategic initiatives and projects that promote the implementation of the long-term Bank strategy
Collaborate with senior members of the accounting and finance teams
Prepare internal reports for executive leadership in support of their decision making
Build and maintain effective working relationships with various groups in Corporate Finance, Corporate Accounting, and Business Line CFOs and finance teams
Identify process improvements, new solutions, and efficiencies
Maintain confidentiality of financial information
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or related field, or equivalent work experience
Eight or more years of relevant sell-side or buy-side equity research experience or Corporate Finance experience with a strong leadership track-record

Proficient in Excel
