Job Description

U.S. Bank is currently seeking a Relationship Manager to join our team and support the business growth for our Corporate Banking customers in the federal government sector.

As a member of our team, you will manage relationships with Corporate Banking customers and support revenue growth as directed by senior management. You will collaborate closely with other Relationship Managers to market U.S. Bank’s products and cross-sell opportunities. This includes successfully prospecting for new business as well as retaining and expanding existing customer relationships. You will be accountable for overall client satisfaction and provide a high touch, customer centric experience by proactively sharing markets updates, trends and industry intelligence.

At this level, you will leverage your subject matter expertise to manage the most complex financial products and services along with client/customer relationships. Additionally, it is expected that you proactively direct and coordinate work of other Corporate Banking RM staff members and other internal business partners as necessary.

Approximately 10% travel can be expected. This position will be located in the Washington D. C., Minneapolis, or NYC office. We offer a hybrid work arrangement. Team members who are in a hybrid role typically spend three days a week at a U.S. Bank location, while having flexibility on their work location for the other working days.

Offer of employment will be contingent on participating in the requisite government clearance process and receiving approval.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree, or equivalent work experience

  • 10 or more years of corporate or commercial banking experience

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Strong relationship management and business development/sales skills

  • Experience with and knowledge of federal, state, local, municipal or nonprofit financial operations

  • Proven track record of prospecting new business, enhancing existing relationships and closing profitable transactions

  • Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Broad knowledge of bank products and services, particularly Treasury Management

  • Ability to work effectively with individuals and groups in managing customer relationships

  • Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, US Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401k contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $139,995.00 - $164,700.00 - $181,170.00
