Job Description

Product Managers at U.S. Bank are customer obsessed in driving product planning, visioning, development, management, and customer experience to deliver on our human + digital product strategy and staying one step ahead of evolving economic, technological, and customer needs.

The Product Manager, Market Insights will support the Consumer Lending product portfolio (mortgage, home equity, personal lending) driving key insights into customer needs and behaviors, competitor positioning, fintechs and technologies, and innovative offerings within relevant markets. The Product Manager will also work to synthesize and communicate these insights via strategic priorities and product roadmaps – as well as driving adoption of new solutions.

*This role is 100% remote from anywhere in the United States and the compensation range varies between locations.

Key Responsibilities


  • Assess product profitability and performance in order to manage short- and long-term outcomes of Consumer Lending (mortgage, home equity, personal lending) product portfolio including connection to roadmap, objectives and key results, and strategic investments.


  • Pull from market and competitive insights, customer needs, and internal business priorities to help shape the product vision (target customer segments, markets, channels, go to market approach, and value propositions).

  • Align this strategic vision with cross-functional stakeholders to shape product roadmap, investment areas and success measures.


  • Drive product development and actively engages cross-functional stakeholders to enable faster speed to market and maximize return on spend in decision making for the product roadmap (e.g., issue resolution, MVP definition, ongoing prioritization)


  • Gather competitive, customer, market, and internal business priorities to assess the performance of our product portfolios in each segment and develops solutions that drive growth and performance across digital and human channels.

  • Collaborate across channels to define and deliver product performance goals (e.g., revenue, customer experience, etc.).


  • Prove out product-market fit by finding raving fans, co-creating solutions, driving product demand, activation, and engagement.


  • Demonstrate deep understanding of target customer through internal/external research (e.g., creation of personas, story maps, product chartering/mapping experience).

  • Identify initial and ongoing product-market fit by communicating and incorporating customer/user needs, competitive landscape, business objectives, the bank's strategic advantage and economic environment to enhance new or existing products.


  • Engage with enabling functions (e.g., marketing, sales, training, operations, go to market, etc.) to position and promote supported and planned products to achieve business goals.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience

  • Six to eight years of related work experience

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, US Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401k contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $99,365.00 - $116,900.00 - $128,590.00
