Job Description

The Finance Chief Risk Office has an opening for a Business Line Quality Assurance (BLQA) Analyst 4. The BLQA Analyst plays an important role in risk management by ensuring controls executed in Finance have been appropriately designed and executed to mitigate the identified risks. The BLQA Analyst will report to either the BLQA Manager or the BLQA Team Leader.

In meeting this objective, the BLQA Analyst will be responsible for performing the following key activities for a portfolio of controls, which include:

  • Scheduling testing in alignment with the BLQA testing plan,

  • Drafting and submitting entrance memos to impacted stakeholders,

  • Designing test procedures,

  • Selecting samples,

  • Requesting and collecting testing evidence,

  • Testing,

  • Coordinating reviews of test workpapers with the BLQA Manager/BLQA Team Leader,

  • Communicating results,

  • Recommending solutions to mitigate gaps, and

  • Identifying and executing process improvements in the BLQA function.

In the execution of these responsibilities the BLQA Analyst will need excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to work well with and influence others and be detailed, curious and diligent in the execution of testing. This role will also interact heavily with Finance process and control owners and other Risk and Audit professionals.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience

  • Typically more than three years of applicable experience

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Prior internal audit, risk, compliance, or quality assurance testing experience

  • Knowledge and experience related to Finance operations, systems, and associated risks and controls

  • Strong analytical, process facilitation and project management skills

  • Effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills

  • Proficient computer navigation skills using a variety of software packages, including Microsoft Office applications and word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentations

NOTE: This role is hybrid. Team members who are in a hybrid role typically spend three days a week at the listed U.S. Bank location(s), while having flexibility on their work location for the other working days.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, US Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401k contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $79,135.00 - $93,100.00 - $102,410.00
