Job Description

The Alliance Commercialization Strategy Lead will join the Business Banking Strategic Alliances team to drive a holistic Business Banking go-to-market strategy through a strategic alliance partner. This leader will collaborate across business lines and product teams to craft a One U.S. Bank value proposition that leverages and integrates the alliance partner’s brand equity and strengths. He/she will synthesize market and competitive trends of both U.S. Bank and the alliance partner, incorporating those into regular joint business planning. A strategist, this role will identify areas of opportunity and develop action plans to achieve growth across lending, deposits and payments. He/she will work closely with product, delivery, marketing, sales and other teams to execute the strategy and incorporate learnings to continuously refine tactics.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Optimize product positioning and value proposition to maximize customer engagement through the strategic partner

  • Integrates new U.S. Bank product offerings into the alliance distribution channel product roadmap

  • Identifies acquisition and deepening strategies throughout the alliance customer lifecycle

  • Partners with Marketing and product teams to define marketing plans to achieve alliance growth goals

  • Defines product bundling and pricing strategies for alliance distribution

  • Drives centrality through increased product penetration of alliance customers

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience

  • 10 or more years of product management experience

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • MBA with focuses in Marketing, Strategy or Entrepreneurship

  • Strong familiarity with Business Banking and the small business customer

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to navigate details while maintaining big-picture strategic focus

  • Strong product management, design and development skills

  • Brand and marketing experience – ability to create and articulate a value proposition

  • Demonstrated management, leadership and interpersonal skills, including influence

  • Strong financial and competitive analysis skills
