Job Description

Provide high value service to internal and external clients in an environment that promotes U.S. Bank’s culture and values. Ensure adherence to policies and procedures. Contributes to efficiency, productivity, and process improvements to drive exceptional service and risk mitigation. Provide proactive strategy and advice to management.

Roles and Responsibilities

Process Change AND SOLUTIONS

Identify opportunities and make recommendations for process changes to mitigate risk or increase efficiency. Works with senior level Fund Accounting Managers and other business lines that interact with Fund Accounting to ensure compliance with regulatory announcements, laws and regulations. Provide root cause analysis and analyze existing controls to identify best course of action to mitigate gaps. Identify, evaluate and escalate risks to Fund Accounting Management. Design automated solutions to replace manual processes using existing tools. Test, implement, and perform steps necessary to promote the solution.

Projects

Work on team projects or support other team members in their efforts to improve processes within Fund Accounting. Ensure projects have clear goals and enough detailed plans. Develops and evolves team goals and initiatives. Prepare and provide up to date project updates and analysis. Maintain oversight of Non-IT Projects and provide management reports as needed.

Controls

Assists with the assessment of the effectiveness of controls that help ensure ongoing compliance with corporate policies and business line procedures. Contribute to department projects, documentation and testing/training as needed.

Centralized Tasks

Work on tasks approved by management to centralize the review process to Fund Accounting Resource Team across all teams in order to ensure tasks are completed timely and accurately. Create and run reports essential to management and the department.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent work experience

  • One to two years of experience in accounting or finance activities

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Thorough knowledge of accounting, reporting, and analysis

  • Ability to identify and resolve exceptions and to analyze data

  • Proficient computer navigation skills using a variety of software packages including Microsoft Office applications

  • Strong team player eager and enthusiastic to learn and adaptable to changing priorities

  • Proactively work independently and make recommendations to Fund Accounting to solve gaps in controls or inefficient processes.

  • Strong analytic skills with ability to efficiently identify, communicate and address potential issues.

  • Demonstrates effective work habits and organizational skills by prioritizing and planning, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt to changing work priorities.

  • Willingness to learn and ability to adopt to change driven by regulatory, industry or business developments. Shows initiative, including eagerness to work on projects.

T he role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $58,650.00 - $69,000.00 - $75,900.00
