Job Description

The Global Fund Custody Onboarding team provides dedicated support to Global Fund Services custody clients in helping set up and launch their new products as well as providing guidance and education to clients throughout the onboarding process.

U.S. Bank has an early career opportunity available to join this team. As an onboarding specialist, you will work directly with clients to manage onboarding events and help establish new, less complex investment services accounts of various sizes. These accounts are established to hold assets of mutual funds, exchange traded funds, hedge funds, private equity funds, and other investment portfolio accounts.

As an onboarding specialist, you will be accountable for the following:

  • Support our Business Development Officer and Relationship Manager teams by participating in routine client onboarding calls and partner with other Global Fund Custody teams to ensure smooth client transitions from onboarding to ongoing account servicing

  • Validate new account documentation is completed in line with understanding of product details and client intent prior to instructing the opening and setup of accounts

  • Ensure account openings are processed timely and accurately based on client elections with critical documents being retained within systems of record, including initiation of fee billing for new accounts

  • Effectively communicate efforts, status updates, and challenges to Relationship Managers and Global Fund Custody Management team, ensuring proper escalation as needed

  • Willingness to take ownership of assigned relationships and serve as an escalation point for clients

  • Embracing technology and finding new ways to solve problems

Basic Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree, or equivalent work experience

  • Typically, four to six years of job-related experience, preferably in institutional trust and/or financial industry

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Thorough knowledge of trust administration, products and sales

  • Thorough knowledge of account management, trust operations, project management, and legal regulations

  • Ability to develop new business

  • Ability to resolve complex problems with minimal guidance

  • Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $66,640.00 - $78,400.00 - $86,240.00
