Job Description

The Fund Accounting Central Operations team provides system support to the Fund Accounting department as well as departments within the US Bancorp organization. As a member of Central Operations, primary responsibilities center on reviewing corporate actions, applying prices to the funds, and processing trades.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Utilize internal and external resources to research and accurately process simple and complex corporate actions on securities held by mutual funds

  • Assist with pricing of mutual fund security holdings in a precise manner under a strict timeline

  • Special projects as needed

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent work experience

  • Three to four years of experience in financial accounting activities

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Proficient computer skills, especially Microsoft Office, Bloomberg, ten-key data entry

  • Advanced knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other regulations

  • Advanced knowledge of accounting, reporting, and analysis

  • Desire to be in the investments industry, understand complex securities and investment strategies

  • Ability to manage and prioritize numerous tasks simultaneously and desire and ability to succeed in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
