Job Description
U. S. Bank is seeking a Business Technology Analyst to serve as a technology expert for assigned functional applications and regulatory reports to assist our business line with development and ongoing support. This role provides project direction and support including research, analysis, review, development, implementation and monitoring of new or updated reports and applications. The Business Technology Analyst acts as a liaison for projects and typically performs analysis supporting the strategies and objectives of the business line. Additional responsibilities include compiling and analyzing information that is very detailed and often interpretive, making recommendations based on the findings and interfaces with internal and/or external resources to ensure successful completion, and implementation in accordance with business, regulatory, or client needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead projects as reporting and technical expert to assess and implement
• the impact of report instruction changes, as directed by regulators
• business changes including acquisitions, divestitures, reorganizations, new products and services
• new Regulatory Reports
Develop solid understanding of Regulatory Report instruction and logic/ programming
Partner with Regulatory Reporting (RR) Analyst and Technology Operations (TOS) to deliver reporting requirements for changes and new reports
Partner with RR Analyst to understand reporting issues as identified and follow through to resolution
Make recommendations to simplify and streamline reporting and processes
Track and advocate for team’s pending TOS development work
Monitor technical policy changes for team/work impacts
Document regulatory reports including all reporting changes
Own and maintain regulatory report repositories in SharePoint
Manage the RC-T Certification structure in Archer, including accuracy of certifiers and data sources
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
10 or more years of experience with technology applications and analysis, including project management
Preferred Skills/Experience
Ability to conduct an analysis of business needs, including scheduling meetings, planning agendas, conferring with business line leaders, documenting and making verbal and written presentations
Strong understanding of project life cycle methodology (PLM) and testing methodology/procedures
Ability to develop test schedules, review testing plans, track test issues and report on test results
Proficient computer skills, especially Microsoft Office applications
Excellent planning and organizational skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Strong knowledge of SEI Trust 3000 and SWP custody platform applications
Experience with interpreting and understand complex regulatory report instructions
Knowledge of Wealth Management & Investment Services business
Understand SQL or programming language
