The Wealth Management Digital software delivery team creates solutions that caters to wealth customers' needs on US Bank online and mobile banking platform's for Wealth Management business line and its priorities. Closely working with enterprise teams and the bank’s Chief Digital Office (CDO) the team implements creative and valuable software solutions that often mirror enterprise solutions, but with a specific Wealth Management flavor. Wealth customers demand unique solutions since they range in net worth anywhere from $100,000 on up to greater than $75,000,000. Our tools of the trade include (but are not limited to) Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, React, Android, IOS and Test Automation. We are a fast-growing, client-focused team intent on improving the digit. This position will be responsible for the analysis, design, testing, development and maintenance of best in class software experiences. The candidate is a self-motivated individual who can collaborate with a team and across the organization. The candidate takes responsibility of the software artifacts produced adhering to U.S. Bank standards in order to ensure minimal impact to the customer experience. The candidate will be adept with the agile software development lifecycle and DevOps principles.
Next Gen Investing(NGI) platform is an effort to bring in vendor hosted customer facing interface of brokerage and trust product to in house. It involves building a common interface for 4 flag ship products of wealth management (Self-directed brokerage , Automated Investor, Managed Brokerage, Personal Trust).
The Software Engineer 2 (Frontend Development) will be responsible for the analysis, design, testing, development and maintenance of best in class software experiences. The candidate is a self-motivated individual who can collaborate with a team and across the organization. The candidate takes responsibility of the software artifacts produced adhering to U.S Bank standards in order to ensure minimal impact to the customer experience. The candidate will be adept with the agile software development lifecycle and DevOps principles.
Takes full stack ownership by consistently writing production-ready and testable code.
Consistently creates optimal design adhering to architectural best practices; considers scalability, reliability and performance of systems/contexts affected when defining technical designs.
Makes sound design/coding decisions keeping customer experience in the forefront.
Takes feedback from code review and apply changes to meet standards. Conducts code reviews to provide guidance on engineering best practices and compliance with development procedures.
Accountable for ensuring all aspects of product development follow compliance and security best practices.
Exhibits relentless focus in software reliability engineering standards embedded into development standards.
Embraces emerging technology opportunities and contributes to the best practices in support of the bank’s technology transformation.
Contributes to a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Reviews tasks critically and ensures they are appropriately prioritized and sized for incremental delivery. Anticipates and communicates blockers and delays before they require escalation.
Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
Five to six years of relevant experience
Knowledge of OOP and patterns.
Extensive hands-on experience in ReactJS.
Extensive experience on creating Micro front end applications.
Modern JS (browser + Node.js), CSS, SCSS and HTML5.
Front end state management Redux, ContextAPI , React Hooks etc.
Client API GrapQL, Apollo Client, Axios, Fetch wrapper etc.
Experience working with Self-directed brokerage , Automated Investor, Managed Brokerage, Personal Trust).
Knowledge of accessibility(A11y) and hands on experience with implementation along with supporting tools. WCAG 2.0 and above ADA compliance tools.
Reusable React JS component development.
Extensive experience on Responsive design system.
Experience with Micro frontend architecture.
Experience with Webpack with the entire ecosystem.
Understanding the architecture of web applications, what's going on under the hood.
At least a basic understanding of web application performance Tools and libraries, cache management, state management.
SCSS / CSS 3, Style components, Webpack 4 and above.
Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token.
Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and CICD tools like Jenkins, Cloudbees etc.
Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc.
Familiarity with code versioning tools ( GIT, TFS ).
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, US Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401k contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $112,880.00 - $132,800.00 - $146,080.00
