Job Description
U.S. Bank is seeking a Principal Security Automation Engineer with experience in Mergers & Acquisitions to support newly acquired entities. Work will include: implementing and supporting solutions/technologies ie: network proxies, intrusions, detection/prevention systems, remote access, second factor authentication, security event monitoring, infrastructure and system hardening, patch deployment and vulnerability management.
Responsibilities include:
Researching and developing new tools and services that facilitate the automation of security event monitoring, detection, and prevention for cyber defense-related threats.
Optimizing security processes and recommending automation solutions to improvement of an acquired entities security control deficiencies.
Serving as technical and functional subject matter expert (SME) across multiple security domain areas.
Creating acquisition security integration budgets.
Raising awareness and communicating security risks of the acquired company and developing mitigation plans.
Supporting incident response and security event management.
Sets security design guidelines for acquisition frameworks and models.
Provides project leadership, trains/mentors members of the team.
Evaluates and recommends new and emerging security products and technologies.
Works to develop and interpret security policies and procedures.
Supports acquisition risk assessment within due diligence.
Proactively seeks solutions to mitigate risk and clearly communicate risks to the appropriate stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science, or equivalent work experience
Eight or more years of experience in information security
Two or more years of experience in IT infrastructure management, application architecture, risk management, data architecture, middleware technology, and IT operations and project management
Experience Should Include
5+ years experience in Mergers & Acquisitions
2+ years of Python development experience implementing security and data protection solutions
2+ years of cloud automation experience using Terraform
Working knowledge of the GitLab DevOps Platform
2+ years experience with AWS and Azure
Working knowledge of software licensing, product and vendor evaluation, technical troubleshooting, and software process improvement
Working knowledge of IT architecture, audits, network and internet security, information assurance, and computer crime
Ability to work cooperatively and professionally with co-workers, customers and management, building relationships and trust across the organization.
Professional verbal and written communication skills
Ability to interrogate and evaluate new acquisitions to determine gaps in security threat vectors and then develop financial budgets that are used for integration into standard security tools and controls.
Strong problem-solving abilities used for determining support of non-negotiable business services that may not fit into a standard security pattern
Preferred Skills/Experience
ISACA Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) - OR - Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP)
Cloud Certifications (AWS or Azure)
CSA Certification CCAK or CCSK

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, US Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401k contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $112,880.00 - $132,800.00 - $146,080.00
