Job Description
Manages business development professionals responsible for the sale of assigned specialized lending products and services, generally for an assigned geographic region or industrial segment, which may include a large geographic area and may involve frequent travel. Develops revenue, volume, and business development and loan growth objectives for an assigned staff and market area. Establishes and achieves business development and loan growth expectations, budget goals, and marketing strategies for the products/services sold. Maintains and develops profitable relationships with customers. Identifies and monitors market trends and competitors' actions to gain a competitive advantage. Develops relationships with industry associations. Trains, develops, manages performance, and provides daily management to assigned staff.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree, or equivalent work experience
Eight or more years of banking experience
Five or more years of management experience
Preferred Skills/Experience
Extensive knowledge of complex Specialty Finance commercial credit solutions and underwriting policies
Expert level of knowledge of sales and sales strategies with demonstrated new business development and relationship management skills
Thorough knowledge of banking products/services, banking operations, and current market trends
Demonstrated skill and ability to partner effectively with internal partners and external referral sources
Well-developed leadership skills and business development skills
Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
Considerable tact, diplomacy and interpersonal skills
Excellent customer relations, verbal and written communication skills
