Job Description

We are seeking a strong senior analyst in our Modeling and Information Management team which is part of our Credit Risk Administration (CRA) team.

In this role, you will support and help to redesign and transform various credit risk reporting processes to support portfolio risk managers and business lines. You will work with internal customers to ensure their reporting needs are met with accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness.

This role will be responsible for a portion of retail reports. You will become an expert on Credit data for Credit Risk Management (CRM), collaborating with Risk Managers to gather reporting requirements and implement functional credit risk reports. In this role, you will ensure accuracy and completeness of data by performing data validations and reconciliations, analyze and interpret data to identify trends and insights using SQL/Python/SAS to extract data and automate processing using tools such as Power Apps and PowerBI. Your top priority is the satisfaction of the report end-users in a timely manner using accurate data with replicable and efficient processes.

Key Activities

  • Develop and maintain effective relationship with credit portfolio risk managers to design and support credit risk reports across retail loan portfolios

  • Work on automating reporting processes

  • Design and develop dashboards using Power BI to support risk management reporting and analytics

  • Run month-end and quarterly reporting processes, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of reports

  • Gather requirements from customers

  • Communicate insights and recommendations to risk managers to support strategic decision-making

Core Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of credit risk management concepts in retail lending

  • Programming experience in SQL, SAS, and/or python

  • Experience with Power Automate, Power Apps, and PowerBI

  • Collaborate with risk managers, technology teams and data management teams

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Resiliency under pressure, with ability to adapt

  • Ability to source and analyze large amounts of information across a variety of topics

  • Strong analytical problem solving, with high level of integrity to deal with confidential data

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience

  • Typically, more than eight years of applicable experience

Preferred Skills

  • Experience building complex dashboards for insights using BI platforms

  • 5 plus years of experience using SQL/SAS/Python

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite

  • Experience should include 5+ years of experience in Credit Risk Management, or comparable experience in enterprise risk management at other Financial Institution(s)

  • Strong aptitude for fact-based problem solving and decision making

  • Database architecture design

  • Team player with ability to work with minimal guidance

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

This role is hybrid. Team members who are in a hybrid role typically spend three days a week at a U.S. Bank location, while having flexibility on their work location for the other working days.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, US Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401k contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $112,880.00 - $132,800.00 - $146,080.00
