Senior Test Automation Engineer (Java)

Responsibilities

  • As a Senior Test Automation Engineer you will oversee test activities of the team and will ensure testing strategies are applied with a focus on shift-left testing principles.

  • You will be working with BA's and Developers/Testers to plan, groom the user stories, focus on testable code is delivered.

  • Recommend and use different test strategies for testing Opayo's RestFul API, Web and Microservices.

  • Creating test plans, test cases, test documentation and reporting all findings with stakeholders.

  • Improving and maintaining existing automation test/frameworks.

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • 7+ years of experience with designing, planning and execution automation testing.

  • Experience working with Java - Preferably Java 8 and above

  • Experience Testing Web Apps with Selenium, WebDriver

  • Experience Testing API with REST, Postman

  • Experience working with Junit/TestNG, Cucumber, RestAssured.

  • Experience with the tools such as Postman, Jmeter

  • Experience working with CI/CD - Preferably Jenkins

  • Knowledge/Exposure to Kubernetes, AWS

  • Experience working in microservices based architecture

  • Troubleshooting skills and approach to defect resolution

  • Ability to work on multiple features simultaneously

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's of Science degree or equivalent work experience
