Job DescriptionThe Investment Services team is embarking on the huge effort of modernizing the application, onboarding, and management digital experiences for our Investment services customers, investment firms, and management personnel. The investment service team represents a large share of U.S. Banks' total annual revenue taking in $43MM+ a year.
U.S. Bank is looking for solid UX Design and visual design talent to take our experiences to the next level.
The Visual Designer typically designs for a single product with medium-to-high complexity and scope, taking broad guidance and design direction from the Design Lead assigned to that product/portfolio and from their manager. Focuses on building strong relationships cross-functionally to influence and broaden everyone to think generatively like designers, and to push ourselves on OKRs and AMAZING experiences built on solid insights & persuasive rationales. Is extremely well-informed in market/competitive trends and in the core technologies of the products the team is building. Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of design theory & accessible design criteria, and core knowledge of front-end frameworks and APIs. Expertly knows and uses the Shield design system and, in partnership with design leadership and the Shield team, actively contributes new elements, enhancements and extensions supported by rock-solid design & technical rationales. Actively participates and contributes to one or more communities of practice, coaches others, and leads design excellence by example. Influences by creating compelling points-of-view and envisioning ideas with verbal and visual storytelling. Contributes to insights driven by user-centered research.
Basic Qualifications - Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience - Three to five years of related work experience, such as UX or digital industry
Preferred Skills/Experience - Thorough understanding of theory of website architecture, interactive design principles, web usability, accessibility, and online marketing and business needs - Experience with user-centered design from concept to delivery - Experience creating style guides and pattern libraries - Ability to work in a cross-channel environment, including desktop/laptop, mobile, devices and brick-and-mortar locations - General understanding of UX best practices - Good communication and presentation skills
