About the team

This Senior Technical Product Manager will lead the banks Governance product , ensuring application teams meet all required artifacts to support a production deployment. We are transforming our approach to governance and compliance, making it more user-friendly by removing frictions for our end users.

This team will automate the assessment of deployment technology governance processes, guiding teams through the complete list of requirements. Every deployment will require onboarding into this tool to create the scope of work for a properly formatted change record and identify any additional external processes needed to support a support deployment.

About the work

You will lead the vision and drive execution of the roadmap that enables engineering teams across the bank’s core and digital ecosystems which includes our full consumer and corporate technology stacks. You’ll work closely with individual engineering teams and product owners to provide feedback and initiate feature requests; work closely with the engineering team to ensure that product requirements are understood. Manage technical considerations, working closely with engineering team to deliver elegant, generalizable solutions to complex problems. Work within an agile development framework by defining product features, user stories, prioritizing work in sprints and across the quarter, as well as participate in cross team and leadership retrospectives.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

  • 5 or more years of related experience in technical product management

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Passion and commitment for streamlining internal Product Engineering team member experiences.

  • 3 or more years of experience working on technology platforms, microservice architectures, or cloud/SaaS products.

  • 3 or more years of experience owning compliance or risk-based products or platforms.

  • Strong product management design and/or development skills

  • Prior experience with scalable frontend and backend technology stacks

  • Experience working as an engineer or product manager on complex distributed systems, ideally inclusive of microservice architectures.

  • Understanding of different components of the technology stack for a cloud-based application

  • Knowledge working with the following Tech Stack: Javascript, C#, SQL server, Rancher K8s

  • Knowledge of open-source technologies relevant to modern web, mobile and microservice standards/best practices

  • Strong knowledge of technical product/program development, implementation, and strategic analysis

  • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong financial and competitive analysis, ROI calculations, and technical skills

Location Expectations

The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $145,180.00 - $170,800.00 - $187,880.00
