About the team
UDAIP is US Bank next generation cloud-based data and AI platform to enable data success across business units within the company. At high level, UDAIP success includes industry leading hybrid cloud infrastructure, innovative data capabilities with leverage of many open-source technologies, successful migration of existing business critical data solution onto UDAIP and ensure ultimate end user success cross the company.
Essential Responsibilities:
Design and implement infrastructure on major cloud service providers (Azure, GCP, AWS)
Create and maintain automation scripts for deployment, scaling, and monitoring
Collaborate with development and research teams to ensure smooth deployment and operation of systems
Continuously improve infrastructure and systems through monitoring, performance tuning and cost optimization
Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements
Create and maintain automation scripts for deployment, scaling, and monitoring
Collaborate with development and research teams to ensure smooth deployment and operation of systems
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to infrastructure, deployment, and operation
Provide technical guidance and support to other teams
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
Five to six years of relevant experience
Preferred Skills/Experience
Experience with containerization, specifically Docker and Kubernetes
Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch, Elasticsearch, and Kibana
Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, CircleCI, or Travis CI
Strong understanding of security best practices and compliance requirements
Proficiency in Cassandra, Kafka, Microservices, Spring Boot, Spark Streaming, Kubernetes, Docker Containers, and Splunk Logging & Observability
Experience with Linux containerization and the Docker ecosystem
Experience with open-source communities
Experience using GitLab/GitHub for version control and/or you’ve tracked work using GitLab/GitHub Issues
Strong experience with scripting languages such as Python and Bash
Strong experience with infrastructure as code, specifically Terraform or Azure Resource Manger Templates, CloudFormation
Strong experience with Azure , GCP or AWS services
You have deployed a production application to Kubernetes .
Experience in at least one programming language, its ecosystem, its testing framework, its build system, and you havetried to profile it. You also know it's rough edges and there is at least one thing you really hate about it.
You enjoy learning new technology. Infrastructure work is building and gluing things together. You will not always be able to glue something on that you know well.
You know Linux. Even Kubernetes still runs on computers! This means you can debug most normal issues with performance, networking, kernel drivers, package management, etc. or have a good idea where to start
You have used at least one of the major cloud providers deeply and can reason about cloud-native architecture, controlling costs, and interacting with its APIs.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, US Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401k contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $124,695.00 - $146,700.00 - $161,370.00
