Job Description U.S. Bank is seeking a Technology Leader accountable for leading all of Mortgage and Consumer Default Technology for CBBO. The teams reporting to this leader will deliver technology solutions supporting Collections, Loss Mitigation, Bankruptcy, Foreclosure, and Investor Claims. This Software Engineering Director exhibits a mix of technical acumen, strategy and vision, along with the ability to cultivate and grow technical talent

THE ROLE

This person in this role will lead the Early and Late Default teams within Mortgage and Consumer Servicing Technology, supporting the CBBO line of business. Responsible for technology delivery for Collections, Loss Mitigation, Bankruptcy, Foreclosure, and Claims. Superior execution in this role and with the broader direct report team is critical to enable compliance with complex federal and state requirements for customer assistance programs, and to ensure that the team can quickly implement changes when communicated. Accountable for quality and timely system releases that are planned through close collaboration with senior operations leaders, various PMOs, and testing teams. Consistently exceeds service levels for managed applications, both internally built, and vendor hosted. Manages technology vendor performance to ensure maximum availability, adherence to change management expectations, and quality release delivery.

KEY FUNCTIONS Responsible for designing, developing, implementing and testing a set of technical products in response to an external or internal need.

Manager is an advanced technologist enabling strong coding practices and solid design decisions.

Builds meaningful relationships with relevant stakeholders and effectively partners to remove organizational obstacles and guide cross-team strategic efforts.

Acts as agile/product champion by enabling product teams and partnering with other leaders to drive empowerment, autonomy, engineering momentum, and business value.

Fosters a culture of empowerment, engineering excellence, and growth.

Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience

Eight or more years of relevant software engineering experience

Five or more years of experience leading a software engineering team

Preferred Skills/Experience Experience with Black Knight Financial Services mortgage servicing products.

Experience with mortgage default servicing platforms such as Early Resolution, Black Knight’s Loss Mitigation platform, and/or other well-recognized industry applications.

Thorough knowledge of information systems technology and software development processes and tools, especially industry specific applications

Extensive knowledge of the business unit supported as well as the ability to recognize the business impact to the overall organization

Strong engineering and technology background with the ability to drive product solutions

Demonstrated management, leadership, interpersonal, and excellent oral and written communication skills, with sound judgement, and the ability to drive decisions through consensus and influence
