U.S. Bank Digital Analytics Director - Digital Product/Platform Insights, Reporting and Analytics in Indianapolis, Indiana
At U.S. Bank, we're passionate about helping customers and the communities where we live and work. The fifth-largest bank in the United States, we’re one of the country's most respected, innovative and successful financial institutions. U.S. Bank is an equal opportunity employer committed to creating a diverse workforce. We consider all qualified applicants without regard to race, religion, color, sex, national origin, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability or veteran status, among other factors.
As a Digital Analytics Director, reporting to SVP of Digital Analytics, this individual will provide all necessary reporting and analytics support for the enterprise-wide Platforms team within the Digital Organization. The Platforms team leads development and implementation of various digital capabilities (customer communications, apply, onboarding, servicing, authentication, document management, and money movement).
This leader’s team provides the measurement and insights to show the operational effectiveness of these platforms in helping to drive adoption and improved customer experience, while also decreasing time to market. He or she will also closely collaborate with their peers in Enterprise Analytics and Artificial Intelligence (EAA) to ensure consistency and accuracy across reporting as U.S. Bank’s digital capabilities change and grow.
The ideal candidate will feel at ease integrating data from multiple/disparate sources, querying databases, automating operational reporting, conducting sophisticated quantitative analyses, and presenting their findings as clear, actionable insights and recommendations enabling platform readiness, revenue growth, channel adoption and customer acquisition and retention. They will be a motivated professional who is passionate about data and data visualization but also willing to roll up their sleeves and code their way through a developing database architecture as they also opine on that development.
They must have strong technical and analytical skills, with the ability to understand business goals/needs, and be committed to delivering operational reporting and data driven insights that lead to actionable recommendations. It will also be necessary to ensure up-front data and reporting requirements are communicated to development and technology teams to ultimately enable delivery of analytics and insights.
This individual will be the ‘go-to’ analytics person for the Executive Vice President, Digital Platforms & Capabilities CDO who has high expectations for a strategic partner who can fuel the team with data and analytics insights. An example aspiration is having the most optimized digital sales application funnel in our industry. The team’s output will reach the C-suite at U.S. Bank so accuracy, presentation and storytelling must be top-notch. In addition to tight integration with the Platforms team, this person will also work to build strong and effective relationships across TOS (Technology and Operations), and EDG (Enterprise Data Governance) teams.
As the Platforms Analytic Director, this individual will inform and create policies and procedures in an effort to maximize output and minimize risk exposure. This role will work with Business Risk partners to create, implement, maintain, review or oversee an effective risk management framework and identify gaps and inform solutions that minimize risk resulting from inadequate processes, systems or human errors.
The Analytics Director will also possess a strong willingness to learn and teach and will aid in leading change across a matrixed organization. An early challenge will be the continued development of this relatively new, primarily remote, 10-person team, as well as continuing to prioritize support across Platforms. In addition, project and team management, process creation, risk adherence, and relationship-building will all be key deliverables in the first 90 days.
