Job Description
Manages sales staff responsible for the selling of assigned bank products and services generally for a specified geographic region or industrial segment. Ensures team sales goals are achieved. Oversees and trains Small Business Bankers, ensuring individual Banker production goals are met. Coordinates with Small Business Banking Regional Sales Manager to establish sales and budget goals and develops market objectives and strategies for the products/services sold. Develops revenue, volume, and market share objectives for assigned staff and market area. Administers the annual budget for assigned area. Recruits, retains, coaches and manages performance of assigned Small Business Bankers. Partners with key individuals in the retail branches to develop, communicate and implement the sales strategy in order to meet/exceed business objectives, and exchange leads/referrals. Maintains and develops profitable relationships with customers and industry associations.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
10 or more years of sales experience in the financial services industry
Four or more years of management experience
Preferred Skills/Experience
Business banking experience preferred
Ag background preferred
Position requires traveling to different markets
Expert knowledge of sales and sales strategies
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong management and leadership skills
Superior new business development and relationship management skills
Well-developed customer service/relations skills
Thorough knowledge of banking products/services, banking operations, and current market trends
Ability to make critical decisions independently
This role is hybrid. Team members who are in a hybrid role typically spend three days a week at a U.S. Bank location, while having flexibility on their work location for other two days.
