Responsibilities The person should have a strong desire to not only mine and analyze data but also use their findings to tell a story, make actionable recommendations for the business line, and follow through with implementation. This position is not a modeling position. Candidates can expect to gain an understanding of:how a delinquent consumer loan portfolio functions how to analyze and understand the data it generates how to present and translate complex findings into straightforward, common-sense, actionable recommendations how analytics and operations groups coordinate and operate
Basic qualifications Pursuing a master’s degree
Preferred qualifications Pursuing a master’s degree in Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, or similar/relevant field. Strong ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing. Analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills Some exposure to data mining, manipulation, and interpretation.Coding experience, ideally with SQL or SAS Proficient working with Microsoft Excel
Ability to think and work independently within a professional setting Flexibility to work within a multi-discipline team and receive dynamic on-the-job training Highly organized; ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously Personality and enthusiasm.
