Job DescriptionThe Business Operations Analyst is responsible for preparing and reconciling monthly investor reconciliations for GSE and PLS portfolios, clearing accounts, and GL reconciliations. The Analyst will respond to internal and external inquires related to our reconciliations and will research and resolve test of expected cash (TOEC) discrepancies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Performs complex reconciliations for Agency, Private Securities, Clearing Accounts, and GL Reconciliations, including Test of Expected P&I and T&I. -Ensures assigned reconciliations are completed timely (30 Days) and Accurately. -Works closely with Investor Reporting to clear reconciling items within 90 days from the Cutoff ID Date, either through internal source docs, investor adjustments, or system adjustments. -Conduct root causes analysis of issues on the most complex S/S, S/A, and A/A loan level/pool level outages and make recommendations to resolve issues that negatively impact Investor Accounting and Reporting. -Strictly adheres to the Agency and Private Investor Servicing Agreements, Regulation AB, USAP and other guidelines for timely and accurate reconciling. -Assist management team with internal and external audits -Make recommendations to Management on projects to standardize process and procedures and improve existing technology - Review and Approve Reconciliations and provide training on processes to staff and new hires as needed - Performs other special projects or duties as assigned by management Basic Qualifications - Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience - 10 or more years of related experience
Preferred Skills/Experience - Experience in Reconciling GSE & PLS Actual/Actual, Schedule/Actual, and Schedule/Schedule Loan Level and Schedule/Schedule Pool reconciliations. - Experience in MSP/BKFS Servicing Systems and understands cashflow - Strong Knowledge of Test of Expected P&I process and reconciliation - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment - Self-motivated with strong attention to detail and excellent organization skills - Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to effectively interface with internal business partners and external clients -Experience in Microsoft Office Products -Intermediate to Expert in Microsoft Excel -Basic SQL
