U.S. Bank recently announced one of its larger investments in modernizing its technology to migrate its infrastructure and application portfolio to the cloud, partnering with its primary cloud provider, Microsoft Azure. To complete this technology transformation and maintain this new way of working into the future, U.S. Bank is seeking enthusiastic talent in a variety of roles—many of which will be hands-on innovators in this transformative work for both U.S. Bank and its customers.

We are expanding our network team to help drive the strategy and innovation around cloud and automation. It’s an exciting time to join the team and the challenging work ahead of us. We need motivated and highly skilled engineers to help. In this highly visible and important role, you will report to the Manager of Network Enablement Services to work on the efforts to move U.S. Bank forward with our cloud first strategy. You will join a highly skilled team of talented engineers and will be engaged with cloud based technologies and automation to support this.

  • Will join a highly talented team of engineers engaged in enabling the application and business needs through firewall, load balancing, and DNS solutions

  • Will lead team's involvement in moving the network technologies forward to support U.S. Bank in the cloud environments

  • Will drive implementation, testing and changes to support the network infrastructure required to enable application and business needs and to support cloud and automation efforts

  • Will work in a team environment to automate the consumption of network based services in the cloud and in on-prem environments

  • Present technical concepts and specific solutions to internal and external audiences of varying technical capabilities in a clear, concise, and easily understood manner.

  • Will ensure security controls, processes and technologies are in place to support key applications

  • Is ready to learn new things and take on challenging asks to help move the cloud strategies forward

  • Not be afraid to fail

Basic Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or equivalent work experience

  • At least 7 years experience with managing day-to-day delivery of satisfactory network services to clients.

  • At least 7 years experience within a total Information Technology (IT) environment.

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • A strong background in scripting and programming languages including - Terraform , Ansible ( for creating and running playbooks), Groovy (Jenkins Pipeline), Python, Git.

  • Experience with AWS, Azure and cloud provided services (firewall, load balancing, etc.)

  • Competency in Networking ( Routing and routing protocols), Firewalls (cloud native and Palo Alto), Load Balancers, DNS, IP Addressing

  • Working experience with modern development and delivery methodologies such as Agile and CI/CD and ability to apply these processes.

Salary range reflected is an estimate of base pay and is for the primary location. Base pay range may vary if an offer is made for work in a different location. Pay Range: $108,545.00 - $127,700.00 - $140,470.00
