Job Description

Your main duties will comprise:

The Regulatory Reporting Analyst will report into the Regulatory Manager and will work within an overall wider team of circa 30 people.

To assist in the timely and accurate delivery of submission within a Financial Risk Management & Regulatory Reporting team that completes returns on behalf of our entities across a number of European countries (e.g. COREP, FINREP, LCR, NSFR).

The role will involve reviewing new and monitoring any changes to existing regulatory requirements, assessing the impact to the Bank and updating processes accordingly.

The team will actively seek opportunities for continuous improvements and efficiencies.

The position will interact directly with stakeholders across Finance, Risk, the Business Units and our parent US Bank.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in completion of regulatory returns across a range of European countries;

  • Co-ordinate/assist in the ongoing projects for the development of updates to regulatory returns and delivery of reports across branches in various jurisdictions;

  • Responsibility for embedding new products into Regulatory reporting structures;

  • Co-ordinate the preparation of ad hoc reporting requests from other Group internal functions;

  • Coordination with USB related functions (Corporate Accounting, Accounting Policy, and External Reporting) as appropriate to ensure consistent reporting;

  • Assist in the impact analysis of new regulatory requirements and monitoring any changes to existing requirements;

  • Assist in the interpretation of regulations, regulatory guidance and apply such in a practical manner in an operational environment.

Required Skills / Experience:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;

  • Knowledge of the Financial Services Industry;

  • Data Analytics experience;

  • Highly organised even when working under tight and competing deadlines;

  • Must be numerically accurate with an excellent attention to detail;

  • Experience of being involved in projects;

  • Professional qualifications (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA);

  • Proficient in MS Office with good working knowledge of Excel.
