Job Description

The FP&A Analyst will form an integral part of an expanding Financial Analysis team based in Dublin, working on a hybrid basis.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Deliver monthly financial forecasts providing insights and identify risks and opportunities for Business Line area, and provide variance analysis to Finance Leadership

  • Lead the monthly financial close processes ensuring accurate and timely delivery of results, highlighting key risks and opportunities and partnering with Business leads to ensure they are understood

  • Being the main point of contact for the Integrated Planning Process, incorporating:

  • Monthly business line forecast

  • Quarterly 3 year rolling forecasts

  • Annual Financial Planning

  • Work closely as a Business Partner with the relevant business line ensuring good stakeholder engagement, identifying areas of improvement & involved in group projects

  • Prepares a variety of management reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, providing commentary and variance analysis to track budget

  • Support in analysing stakeholder needs; ad-hoc analysis for business case development and custom financial analysis

Basic Qualifications

  • Professionally qualified accountant with 2 years+ PQE (ideally in a Financial Services environment with an FP&A function

  • Experience of advanced Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, Oracle/Essbase (preferred but not essential) or another ERP system desirable

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Enthusiastic, independent and self-motivated person who can work independently managing competing priorities and strict deadlines

  • Working knowledge of financial analysis techniques and general accounting procedures

  • Thorough knowledge in financial analysis, forecasting, planning and reporting

  • Experienced at analysing and distilling large amounts of data into meaningful and presentable content to support decision making

  • Ability to adapt and problem solve quickly in a changing and dynamic environment

  • Proven track record of driving process improvements and efficiencies
