Job Description

Responsibilities include:

• This role sits in the Treasury team working alongside technical and business line teams at Elavon Financial Services.

• The role will have a particular focus on bank-to-bank payment systems utilising SWIFT and correspondent banks as well as direct payment system access in the UK and Europe (such as Target-2, CHAPS, Faster Payments, SEPA and more).

• Lead and deliver technical, operational and strategic implementations to enable Elavon business lines, collaborating between the partner and internal cross-functional teams.

• Ensure our partnerships and payment systems remain compliant with all current and future regulations and can take advantage of any new technical changes quickly (ISO20022, SWIFT, Instant Payments etc.).

• Represent Elavon on partner working groups and forums.

• Manage the technical aspects of payment systems and ensure their smooth operation.

• Deliver daily and monthly financial reporting to management.

• Respond to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and issues from management, external auditors, and regulatory authorities.

• Ensure all processes are documented and all procedures are updated periodically.

• Builds strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

• Monitor team member performance by reviewing quality of work, adherence to protocols, timeliness of deliverables. Provide coaching and feedback as needed. Schedule and lead annual performance reviews in accordance with defined process.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience.

• 7+ years’ experience in payments, transaction banking, correspondent banking, Treasury or in a related financial role.

Key Skills

• Have an excellent understanding of how cross border payments, SWIFT, correspondent banks and domestic payment systems work at a technical and operational level.

• A good working-level of knowledge on payments connectivity channels and messages such as SWIFT, PACS and ISO 20022/MT messaging.

• Knowledge of Treasury Management Systems e.g. FIS Quantum.

• Strong negotiation, communication and influencing skills.

• Motivated self starter able to work with minimum supervision.

• Excellent leadership and management skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Adaptability and flexibility to changing priorities.
