Job DescriptionTreasury Operations Supervisor The successful candidate will be an integral part of an expanding Treasury team responsible for all Treasury operations functions within the bank. The candidate will be responsible for payment processing, management reporting and project implementation for the Treasury Operations department within the Bank. Key Tasks/AccountabilitiesResponsible for and own all settlement activity of the bank including payments, confirmations and queries. Monitor and action all incoming SWIFT messaging. Lead the EFS participation in the TARGET and CHAPS payment schemes including responsible for application upgrade and new participant on-boarding testing activities. Planning and implementation of large projects to operationalise the strategy of the Bank. Provide timely and accurate reporting on interest, fx and bank fees. Provide management reporting to Asset Liability Management Committee (“ALMC”). Manage all bank account signatories (200+) and bank account mandates with counterparty banks (13). Work with Treasury Risk and First Line of Defence (“FLOD”) teams to ensure all processes are documented and mapped. Identify and implement process efficiencies. Ensure Treasury Operations are within all regulatory, payment scheme and internal policies of the Bank, including CHAPS, SWIFT, TARGET2 annual self-certifications and Wire Transfer Procedures. Monitor and track industry developments to understand how new technologies could impact the Bank.
ExperiencePrevious treasury experience essential (Min 7 years). Project Management experience delivering large complex projects essential. Extensive knowledge and understanding of the day to day functioning of a large Treasury department, including front and middle office activities. Experience in these roles an advantage. In depth understanding of how financial market infrastructure operates. Experience in managing large value (€ 5-10 billion) Direct Clearing processes (Target2 / BoE) a distinct advantage. Strong IT knowledge with excellent understanding of SWIFT messaging and banking infrastructure. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent.
Skills/DispositionStrong process optimization focus. Strong compliance and procedural focus. Strong MS Excel / Access skills required. Ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple activities with competing deadlines. Ability to deal effectively and tactfully with customers, other banks and other bank personnel
