Job DescriptionElavon Financial Services (EFS) is licensed by the Central Bank of Ireland. Headquartered in Cherrywood Dublin it extends to a branch network across Europe. EFS is a wholly owned subsidiary of US Bank the 5th largest bank in the United States and one of only two American banks to maintain a AAA credit rating throughout the global banking crisis. US Bank is committed to maintaining a high level of risk management and oversight throughout the US Bank group and as such is seeking to strengthen its risk teams outside of the United States by hiring talented risk professionals to lead their international risk management efforts. This is a 12 month Fixed Term Contract role for a Data Governance Technology SQL Developer. Reporting to the Data Governance Technology Manager, the successful candidate’s responsibilities will include designing, building, and implementing SQL Database for Data Quality automation use within the Bank; partnering with the Data Governance Analysts to promote effective Data Quality identification and remediation platform; and overseeing associated risk outcomes. Key working relationships:The role holder is required to build out the SQL Database and automation scripts to maintain effective data quality profiling and analysis across the Bank Principal accountabilities of Position:Development of high quality database solutions Develop, implement and optimize stored procedures and functions Review and interpret ongoing Data Governance business analysis requirements Research required data Build appropriate and useful reporting deliverables Analyse existing SQL queries for performance improvements Suggest new queries Develop procedures and scripts for data load automation Develop procedures and scripts for data migration Provide timely scheduled management reporting Investigate exceptions with regard to asset movements Documentation of server administration controls

Skills and competencies:Excellent understanding of SQL programming Excellent understanding of Microsoft SQL Server and MS Visual Studio Good knowledge of HTML and JavaScript Familiarity with the practical application of Relational Database Management System Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on company’s success Ability to critically analyse data and identify unusual trends or anomalies; Ability to think and act independently, comfortable working as a self-starter team; Critical thinker and problem-solving skills Team player Good time-management skills Great interpersonal and communication skills

Experience needed: Applicants should have a third level qualification (degree or similar) in a relevant subject Minimum 4+ years of experience as a SQL Developer / SQL DBA or similar role Excellent understanding of Microsoft SQL Server Experience with regulatory reporting requirements
