Job Description


The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of the Salesforce Marketing Cloud and have the technical expertise to configure automations, journeys, and triggered activities. The role works within a team to deliver timely, relevant messages that will support business line team needs. You will act as a consultant and technical expert on the Salesforce Marketing Cloud and use your knowledge to design, document and implement solutions. You will also manage a small team of Solutions Architects.


The primary purpose of this position is to discover, design and implement integrated email solutions, automations and journeys in the Salesforce Marketing Cloud. You will accomplish this by leading client discovery sessions to understand client needs, documenting user stories and requirements and architecting solutions using the Salesforce Marketing Cloud. You will also be responsible for communicating concepts, solutions, architectures, and assessments through written diagrams and materials. Long term, this person will need to be able to analyze business needs against Salesforce features and solutions to define a master data management, migration, and integration strategy.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience

  • Eight or more years of related experience in marketing and marketing strategy with proven ability to deliver results

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Experience in managing a technical team

  • SQL, AMP Script capability

  • An understanding of SOAP and REST API’s

  • Experience with and knowledge of Salesforce Marketing Cloud

  • Salesforce CRM experience

  • Architect data feeds, platform configuration, and components needed to run complex automated email campaigns.

  • Solid understanding of:

o Solution design and architecture

o Relational database concepts, with exposure to SQL

o Data management and segmentation

o Scripting and query development

  • Proven experience in designing and building solutions with external platform integrations.

  • Marketing Cloud certification preferred

  • Basic HTML skills

  • Strong relationship management skills

  • Ability to juggle multiple competing priorities

  • Highly detail oriented

  • Experience guiding customer facing discussions

  • Excellent organizational and project management skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Salary range reflected is an estimate of base pay and is for the primary location. Base pay range may vary if an offer is made for work in a different location. Pay Range: $105,400.00 - $124,000.00 - $136,400.00
