Job DescriptionAbout the team This is a center of excellence team for all aspects of improving availability of applications and infrastructure systems. Brings Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles into a center of excellence to develop and improve stills of existing reliability engineering, infrastructure, operations, and service management teams.

What you'll do Lead a team of senior solution architects and engineers with a broad background of infrastructure and operational experience Provides expertise and direction to many teams within Information Technology to improve availability of application and infrastructure systems Leads to identify non-functional requirements that will improve availability and resiliency in a ranked approach that meets business needs Develops methods to assess weaknesses, identify tasks at high level to solve, and track progress to resolution Leads team to learn new products, capabilities and technologies as they are made available to incorporate them into our capabilities as they relate to availability. Mentor team leads and product owners to encourage improvements in consumer interface and availability capability.

Day in the Life Drives the team to proactively review applications and infrastructure systems to assess and identify areas to improve availability and fault tolerance Identifies and prioritizes tasks assigned to app/infra teams that will contribute to improvements Tracks and reports on results and works with app/infra teams to incorporate into their backlogs Participates and provides leadership during blameless postmortems Brings in the team to ensure a thorough review is performed bringing in best practices for improvements Engages and coordinates activities in (significant rare chronic?) incident issues where root cause is not easily identified and requires coordination with multiple teams Brings together teams and helps to identify a path to root cause and solution for issues that lack clarity of solution Provides reports and presentation to leadership on progress of work efforts of various teams in clearing and scheduling their backlog of identified items related to availability and resiliency improvements

Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience Six or more years of related experience

Preferred Skills/Experience

Advanced Presentation skills - proven ability to express new concepts in unique and meaningful ways Advanced leadership skills - proven ability to lead through culture change, build bridges between siloed teams, lead teams through significant upskill training. Significant knowledge of best practices for operational excellence and resiliency Site Reliability Engineering knowledge of concepts and experience High to mid-level knowledge of common technology stacks used by IT both on-premise and cloud Well-developed ability to collaboratively develop and evolve a product backlog Well-developed ability to develop and articulate a product vision that supports outcomes, value and prioritization of work Advanced understanding and demonstrated abilities in support of the Lean/Agile mindset Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills including ability to collaborate with and empower teams Well-developed verbal and written communication skills Standard industry certifications such as SAFe, CSPO, or PSPO are preferred

Salary range reflected is an estimate of base pay and is for the primary location. Base pay range may vary if an offer is made for work in a different location. Pay Range: $105,400.00 - $124,000.00 - $136,400.00
