Job Description

U.S. Bank is seeking a detail-oriented Data Architect with relational database and logical/physical database modeling experience to contribute toward the success of our technology initiatives. Designs and builds relational database models and defines data requirements to meet the business requirements. Develops strategies for data acquisitions, archive recovery, and implementation of databases. Develops logical and physical database models. Writes scripts and commands for data manipulation. Plans and conducts database unit and system tests, monitors results, and takes corrective action. Monitors and resolves database performance, database capacity, data integrity and replication issues. Assures integrity of data, software, and hardware; develops policies and procedures related to development and support of new and ongoing systems. Determines transition strategy from current to new architecture, including integration from current data and information systems. Provides technical consulting to application development teams during application design and development for highly complex or critical projects. Ensures compliance with the organization's database standards.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

  • At least 6 years' experience with design, development and support of database management systems.

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Content management

  • Query and database access tools

  • Extensive experience in :

  • Oracle PL-SQL, MS T-SQL, Package and Procedure creation

  • Database design (Physical)

  • Modeling: data, process, events, objects

  • IT architecture

  • Information management

  • Data administration

  • Data warehousing

  • Data movement tools

  • Logical data modeling

  • Relational databases

The preferred working model for this role is hybrid from the locations listed but management will consider remote for the right candidate. Team members who are in a hybrid role typically spend three days a week at a U.S. Bank location, while having flexibility on their work location for the other working days.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, US Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401k contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $92,480.00 - $108,800.00 - $119,680.00
