Job Description

U.S Bank is looking for an experienced Executive Communications Lead to support internal and external communications for the Branch & Small Business Banking leader role. The individual will be responsible for internal and external visibility for the business line leader including the creation of supporting materials for events such as presentation content and remarks, social media visibility strategy, and media relations in support of the business line's objectives. The individual will also lead the development and execution of the leader's internal communications strategy, including but not limited to written communication, presentations, videos, etc. The individual will partner closely with the internal Consumer & Business Banking Communications team.

Plans, manages, and evaluates company-wide communication strategies to ensure effective communication to employees, shareholders, and the community. Works with various business groups and senior management to develop and implement strong communication plans that will assist in meeting company goals and objectives. Evaluates complex information and strategically determines appropriate method of communication based on topic and company goals. Edits internal and external publications, writes speeches and provides media support. Oversees communications consulting and community relations projects. Represents U.S. Bancorp at various community, business, and educational events. May provide project management for special communication efforts, including acquisitions and divestitures.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience

  • Ten or more years of experience in communications activities

  • Two or more years of management experience

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Proven communication management skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong research, analysis, and interviewing skills

  • Well-developed organizational and project management skills

  • Ability to negotiate and influence internal and external parties

Location Expectations

The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $129,455.00 - $152,300.00 - $167,530.00
