Job Description

U.S. Bank is seeking a motivated Salesforce Software Engineer. This position will play a vital role in the analysis, design, testing, development and maintenance of U.S. Bank’s Salesforce platform. The position will provide innovative solutions to address complex business objectives and system integrations. The candidate will be adept with the agile software development lifecycle and DevOps principles. Ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of Salesforce platform development experience designing comprehensive Salesforce solutions for Salesforce Sales Cloud Customer Portal, and nCino. Hands-on experience with Salesforce REST APIs and coding in APEX is required.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for designing, developing, testing, operating and maintaining products on the force.com platform, driving enhancements and improvements

  • Build integrations between salesforce and other internal systems to automate business processes

  • Develop custom Apex code, perform code reviews and ensure successful deployments

  • Consistently creates optimal design adhering to architectural best practices; considers scalability, reliability and performance of systems/contexts affected when defining technical designs

  • Makes sound design/coding decisions keeping customer experience in the forefront

  • Takes feedback from code review and apply changes to meet standards. Conducts code reviews to provide guidance on engineering best practices and compliance with development procedures

  • Accountable for ensuring all aspects of product development follow compliance and security best practices

  • Embraces emerging technology opportunities and contributes to the best practices in support of the bank's technology transformation

  • Contributes to a culture of innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement

  • Anticipates and communicates blockers and delays before they require escalation

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience

  • Three to five years of relevant experience

Preferred Skills

  • 5+ years of experience as a Salesforce developer

  • Salesforce Platform Developer 1 Certification

  • Expert-level coding skills (APEX, LWC/Aura) and experience with REST/SOAP API Integration

  • Experience implementing Salesforce Sales Cloud and nCino

  • Adept with agile software development lifecycle and DevOps principles

  • Design experience in Salesforce Lightning UI

  • Extensive knowledge in modeling and application design and architecture

  • Expert knowledge in IT/Software quality assurance, system testing tools and system/application testing and implementation

  • Entirely self-directed, can solve business problems from inception to implementation without explicit direction, strong time management, communication and leadership skills

  • Able to communicate processes and results with all parties involved in the product team, including engineers, product owner, scrum master, third party vendors and customers

  • Creative, flexible, and willing to continuously change, evolve, and improve software development processes
