Job Description

The Business Risk Professional will partner with their assigned Line of Business, other Business Risk Professionals, and Business Risk Managers to, depending on their function, create, implement, maintain, review or oversee an effective risk management framework. They may participate in projects and/or activities that ensure compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. They may identify gaps and inform solutions that minimize losses resulting from inadequate internal processes, systems or human errors. They may actively identify, respond and/or escalate risks as appropriate. They may inform policies and procedures in an effort to maximize profit potential and minimize regulatory exposure. They may serve as a functional liaison between the Line of Business and the Lines of Defense.

Business Banking Deposit Products Testing and Monitoring

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct ongoing monitoring and testing of business banking deposit products

  • Identify areas within the business deposit product space that present heightened risk and develop testing programs to support early identification and mitigation

  • Evaluate gaps, risks, and trends from testing results and data

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience

  • Five to seven years of applicable experience

  • Applicable professional certifications

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Possess strong knowledge of business deposit products

  • Possess strong knowledge and background of applicable regulations

  • Possess strong analytical skills with an ability to analyze trends and quantify risks

  • Proficient in reporting data/results

  • Highly organized, with attention to detail while still maintaining risk perspective

  • Understand the deposit related needs of business teams and provide regulatory guidance

  • Ability to assess risk factors and provide directional guidance

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with ability to communicate results in a constructive (not critical) manner and listen to feedback

  • Highly motivated self starter with ability to design and develop testing programs

  • Strong communication skills with ability to communicate results in a way that influences process and product design

  • Ability to see how testing programs impact processes, procedures and controls and business line change initiatives

  • Prior testing and monitoring experience

  • Experience working with Business Banking teams

The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $83,810.00 - $98,600.00 - $108,460.00
