U.S. Bank Trust Manager - Shared Services - Cincinnati OH in CINCINNATI, Ohio

The Trust Manager is a key member of the Investment Advisor Services management team that oversees and directs the IAS Shared Services team. The Trust Manager is responsible for cultivating talent, setting performance and training standards . Additionally, the Trust Manager will analyze and improve organizational processes and work to improve quality, productivity and efficiency and manage a team of skilled individuals.

This position requires frequent interaction with Investment Services support staff, specifically Account Onboarding/Offboarding Associates, Independent Administrative Review personnel and Trust Operations on the proper coding to ensure accurate administration of accounts. Oversees work processed by Investment Services support staff, Account Onboarding/Offboarding Associates, Independent Admin Reviewers Trust Operations and others to ensure establishment and oversight within accounts is in accordance with governing agreements, regulatory and legal requirements, and within U.S. Bank procedural guidelines relative to new, existing and closing accounts. Regularly interacts with clients, focusing on current and changing needs of the client. Proactively engages clients to identify service quality opportunities and to enhance existing relationships with the bank. Ensures appropriate legal agreements are properly executed and retained according to bank policy and departmental standards. Identifies staff training needs, participates in training events, coach or assist in training Investment Services staff. Identifies and executes opportunities to create capacity and efficiencies. Participates on Investment Services and Trust Operations committees and projects. Attends and participates in new business presentations with prospective clients. Creates and maintains clear performance metrics for staff.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience

  • 10 or more years of job-related experience, preferably in Custody and/or financial industry (specific knowledge in account opening and compliance requirements is preferred)

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Considerable knowledge of trust administration, products and sales

  • Considerable knowledge of account management, trust operations, project management, and legal regulations

  • Strong ability to develop new business

  • Ability to resolve complex problems with minimal guidance

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

  • Demonstrated leadership skills
