Job Description

Our Reputation Management & Planning team is looking for a talented Social Media Intelligence Specialist to help us develop our centralized social media intelligence capability to collect, monitor, analyze and interpret social media content/data. This role is for a candidate with a strong passion for social listening and social analytics who can help the organization identify and understand emerging trends, reputation risks and opportunities, and content performance to drive more informed decision-making.

The successful candidate will support proactive social listening and analysis, and collaborate with business line, risk and crisis management partners to ensure real-time monitoring, identification and analysis of emerging issues, critical situations and breaking news. The individual will be also responsible for understanding, identifying and evaluating leading indicators to forecast future reputation risks and opportunities.

Essential Functions and Duties

  • Proactively monitor topics and conversations in social media that affect our business.

  • Use social data to deliver accurate and timely reporting, analysis and insights that drive business recommendations, escalation and resolution strategies, and social engagement.

  • Be responsive to requests for deeper social listening, working closely with enterprise partners to support a more holistic analysis of issues, risks and opportunities.

  • Manage vendor relationship for enterprise social listening and analysis tools, ensuring continued data accuracy and quality control of outputs/insights.

  • Partner with colleagues across the company to improve the visibility of social media and stay current on relevant tools, best practices and trends.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience

  • Three or more years of experience in social listening and analytics, with experience in one or more of the following disciplines: marketing, communications, public relations or data analytics

  • Demonstrated experience gathering and analyzing social media data, deriving insights that are actionable, and conveying them in a way that tells a story and is visually-convincing

Preferred Experience/Skills

  • Exceptional understanding of social listening and social analysis best practices and trends

  • Knowledge of and meaningful hands-on experience with social listening, engagement and publishing tools such as Talkwalker, Brandwatch, Hootsuite, Sprinklr and Khoros

  • Experience writing Boolean logic and query-based searches

  • Highly-organized individual able to work effectively and efficiently in high-intensity situations with tight deadlines, including some nights and weekend

  • Ability to collaborate with and build the trust of colleagues, business partners and leaders

  • Strong attention to detail and robust critical thinking skillset

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Previous experience working in a communications, public relations, marketing or reputation management function is highly desirable
