Job DescriptionU.S. Bank is currently seeking an Internal Communications Manager to support the Consumer and Business Banking (CBB) business line. This role is responsible for planning, managing and evaluating business line-wide communication channel and content strategies to ensure effective communications to its employees, key partners and other internal stakeholders in order to meet established goals and objectives. This individual will also have responsibility for overseeing channel strategy for the communications vehicles that touch broad audiences across the business line. The position will report into the company’s centralized Public Affairs & Communications department and additional responsibilities include: Support the development and execution of internal communications strategies designed to support business line strategic growth priorities and foster employee engagement, education and awareness; Oversee business line channel strategy to deliver new and innovative ways to share content and create helpful tools and resources; Evaluate existing channels and provide strategic recommendations for enhancing and improving information delivery to and engagement with employees throughout the business line Manage relationships throughout the business line and user groups to streamline online content flow, creating a simpler and more intuitive way for employees to access helpful information; Develop and implement creative solutions to drive participation in regular conversation and engagement initiatives through these channels; Evaluate complex information and strategically determines appropriate method of communication based on topic and company goals; Provide additional support and resources, such as drafting and editing online content, as well as other internal messaging and identifying expanded storytelling opportunities; Oversee communications consulting and provide project management for special communication efforts; Represent U.S. Bancorp at various community, business and educational events as needed.
Basic Qualifications - Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience - Eight to ten years of experience in communications activities
Preferred Skills/Experience - Proven communication management skills, including strong writing and editing capabilities - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Proficient user of Microsoft Office suite of tools. - Strong research, analysis, and interviewing skills - Well-developed organizational and project management skills - Ability to negotiate and influence internal and external parties - Ability to manage highly-complex projects with a multitude of stakeholders with the ultimate objective of driving business results
