Job Description We have an exciting opportunity for the right operations leader to join U.S. Bank in a key position as Head of Consumer & Electronic Operations Services. The Head of Operations Services will be responsible for large, complex back office functions that are essential to the operational success of the entire enterprise. The position will also oversee functions that will service some of our highest profile and sophisticated customers.

The Role

This leader will be the primary contact and partner into the Product groups across the bank to ensure that processes and technology are aligned. This role is also responsible for coordinating across other front and middle office areas to ensure end-to-end delivery of services. This position has a mix of legacy and emerging processes; therefore, it is essential to ensure there are transforming processes, technology, and tools in the day-to-day delivery. The role develops new operations procedures and systems and enhances existing processes to achieve optimal efficiency and minimize risk. The position coordinates the corporate-wide operations function to ensure consistency and accuracy within the company's systems. Key Functions: 1) Electronic Processing Services is a 24x365 operation responsible for legacy, new, and emerging payment channels like Real-Time Payments, Zelle, and FedNow and oversees monthly processing of 150 million ACH transactions, 5 million Zelle and RTP transactions, and 1.25 million Wire Transfers. 2) Print and Postal Services is comprised of the print/statement’s operation for the enterprise in addition to the Mail Services group responsible for all mail and postal services across the footprint. Responsible for $150MM+ budget. 3) CD/IRA and Research Services is highly involved in the regulatory space and ensures deliveries are in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. The operation carries out administration on garnishments, decedent accounts, abandoned property management, and others. 4) Operations Account Services comprised of Claims, Research, and Adjustments Services.

Key Responsibilities: Sustain and improve profitability, while plotting direction of long-term growth of unit(s). Provide direction, strategic decisions, and leadership to pursue objectives of unit(s). Drive innovation and transformation as the organization invests in digital solutions. Create and maintain cost-effective programs and budgets for unit(s). Determine staff development needs and create appropriate action plans. Actively ensure compliance with all US Bancorp policies and procedures such as Code of Ethics and all Anti-Money Laundering, Bank Secrecy Act, information security and suspicious activity reporting requirements, etc.

Basic Qualifications:

10+ years of operation services experience 7+ years of management experience Bachelor's or Master's degree in Operations Management, Business Administration, Information Systems, or other related field Exceptional leadership abilities and strategic management skills with considerable tact, diplomacy, and people skills Experience with implementing tools for analyzing and governing very large data sets Demonstrated success in high quality execution of large-scale operational initiatives and related operational programs Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with ability to effectively communicate to different stakeholders Exceptional analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills with ability to understand the big picture and details of applications
