Job Description We have an excellent opportunity for the right operations leader to join U.S. Bank to lead the management of International Trade Finance operational activities for the Global Documentary Services Business line for assigned functional areas/regions. This role will give someone the opportunity to lead the design and delivery of all Commercial and Standby Letters of Credit and related functions as well as Documentary Collections. This leader will be leading a team responsible for the management of customer onboarding, customer assignments, client servicing and implementation as well as the support of customer remediation activities to reduce financial exposure to the bank and increased customer satisfaction.
The role is responsible for the integration of new features and functions into the operating environment, transforming the delivery of International Trade products into an improved automated environment, ensuring proper controls are in place, reducing manual controls and achieving efficiencies that meet any investment requirements and strategic digitization to our customers. Responsible for working closely with business lines, legal, compliance and operational risk teams to transform the business.
Responsible for the operating design for regulatory reporting and reconciliation for Global Documentary Services. Develops and administers corporate policies and procedures and ensures compliance with all applicable laws, AML, OFAC, Antiboycott regulations, as well as UCP, ISP, URR, URC and all rules and practices that govern International Trade transactions. Establishes operational systems processes and procedures affecting assigned units coordinating system convergence from an operations perspective. Responsible for the administration of this work through critical systems driving enhancements for continuous operational efficiency, quality and customer satisfaction.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor or master’s degree or equivalent work experience 10 or more years operations experience Seven or more years of management experience Familiar with the Trade Product life cycle and be able to successfully deliver detailed product features using a skilled workforce they are responsible for developing, and effectively managing.
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE The leader of this organization must demonstrate the ability to build out complex sustainable operations that will achieve Global Documentary Services product strategy, meet all regulatory requirements, and achieve successful operating results for the business. Considerable knowledge and proven experience in the design and delivery of operation functions system policies and procedures for this assigned area In depth understanding and practical application of applicable laws and regulation Strong analytical decision making and problem-solving skills Strong knowledge and understanding of risks as they relate to International Trade Finance Proven employee development experience in complex product and operating environment Well-developed leadership activity abilities and strategic management skills Excellent interpersonal verbal and written communication skills Thorough knowledge of banking operations and human resource
