Job DescriptionResponsible for leading, monitoring and overseeing business operations, tactically and strategically. Position requires support of production managers responsible for loan closing documentation review against compliance and regulatory standards, inventory of pledged collateral and monitoring of negotiable collateral and liquid securities. The role requires interpretation of legal documents and has direct interaction with internal and external legal counsel.
Manages and coordinates the operational activities for assigned functional areas/regions. Ensures quality service and effective operations support for all of the assigned internal and external customers. Accomplishes results through the effective management of staff that may range from lower level non-exempt through exempt level professionals. Administers corporate policies and procedures and ensures compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Participates in the review and recommendation of operational systems and procedures affecting assigned units, coordinating system conversions from an operations perspective. Basic Qualifications - Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience - 10 or more years of operations-related experience
Preferred Skills/Experience - Superior knowledge of operation functions, systems, policies and procedures for the assigned area - In-depth understanding and practical application of applicable laws and regulations - Excellent organizational, managerial and project management skills - Well-developed customer relations skills - Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills - Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects and deadlines simultaneously - Thorough knowledge of banking operations and human resources - Highly resourceful and self-motivated; strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically - Intermediate computer skills with collaboration and productivity tools including Windows-based operating systems and office suites (Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint); spreadsheet applications to organize data used for advanced data analysis - Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from Executives, managers, auditors and employees - Ability to write reports, business correspondence and draft policy and procedure manuals - Ability to work with close attention to detail, high degree of accuracy, and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
