Job DescriptionSpecific Duties The Corporate Audit Services Staff Auditor is primarily responsible for completing audit engagement assignments under the supervision from the audit team management. The Staff Auditor is expected, with support from others, to identify controls, assess processes, perform control testing, and document work performed in conformance with internal audit policies and procedures. Staff Auditors will perform basic to complex tasks on audits that evaluate risks and controls over the various Payment Services business units and ensure compliance with the policies, procedures and standards. Payment Services is the division of U.S. Bank that issues credit, debit and prepaid cards to consumers, businesses and institutions of all sizes. It also facilitates payment processing for businesses globally.

Basic Qualifications - Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience - Two to three years of applicable experience

Preferred Skills/Experience 1. Thorough knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, financial services, and regulatory trends that impact their assigned line of business 2. Knowledge of Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) Standards and the common definition of internal controls. 3. Pursing CIA, CPA, CFIRS or other relevant professional designation or advanced degree. 4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 5. Strong critical thinking and analytical skills. 6. Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously. 7. Strong process facilitation, project management, and analytical skills. 8. Proficient computer navigation skills using a variety of software packages, including Microsoft Office applications and word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentations 9. Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
