Job DescriptionDo you have a passion for architecting scalable software solutions and API that leverage next generation technologies? We at U.S. Bank are seeking a Senior Architect to lead and deliver game-changing API solutions and work on Microservices strategy at Enterprise level. Acting as an internal evangelist, the ideal candidate will lead the research, design, development, and integration of technology architectures that are strategic imperatives for the business. We are seeking a technology leader that has a broad understanding of technology, and a strong background in software engineering and how it can be applied to move business solutions forward.Responsibilities:Define technical software architectures to drive our business and technology strategies. Lead development of enterprise-wide technology cloud-based architectures. Consult with senior managers and IT professionals to develop IT frameworks that support business applications. Understand and model key business capabilities, processes, relationships, and impact of technology on business goals. Formulate conceptual architectures and communicate architectural vision, goals and design objectives to multiple audiences. Lead the development of technology strategies and roadmaps to deliver strategic business capabilities. Define, execute and continuously improve internal software architecture processes and technology recommendations. Assist and guide senior managers and teams in developing highly scalable, reliable and secure solutions. Identify risks associated with current or new technology use. Enable product innovation, for example A/B tests, automated system tuning and smarter canaries. Basic QualificationsBachelor's degree or equivalent work experience At least 10 years experience with the concepts, philosophies and tools behind the design of applications, information and underlying information technologies. At least 10 years experience with developing and implementing applications. Preferred Qualifications5+ years’ experience designing, developing, and implementing API and microservices At least 4 year of Agile experience Experience with developing and deploying applications on Cloud, preferably on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and/or Amazon Web Services (AWS) Understanding of Test Driven Development concepts and supportive tools like Cucumber Understanding of Object-Oriented and Functional programming concepts using languages like Java Familiarity with Configuration management tools like Ansible, Chef or Terraform. Familiarity with Application Container concepts using tools like Docker Exposure to resiliency patterns like bulkheads, circuit breakers, fallbacks, and load shedding Experience with architecting, designing and developing GraphQL API solutions Certified in one of the following: Java, Spring or AWS technologies
