Job Description

In this exciting, fast paced role within the US Bank Interest Rate Derivatives team you will be an integral member of our Sales team providing high-level support to our internal trading and relationship management partners while ultimately serving our external clients. An ideal candidate will be attracted to working in a dynamic, team-oriented environment with generous compensation and a proven track record of timely promotion of successful Senior Associates into Marketer positions.

Daily responsibilities include working closely with our marketers to price derivatives structures, executing client transactions, creating impactful client presentations, solving valuation problems and generating thoughtful risk management solutions for our clients. This person will also serve as back-up and support to an assigned senior marketer(s).

Teamwork and good communication skills will be utilized to create credit lines, negotiate ISDA documentation and confirm trades. Basic understanding of macro economic data is necessary to provide periodic market commentary to clients and internal partners.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Econometrics or related field, or equivalent work experience

  • Three to five years of derivatives or related experience

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Good understanding of complexities of the derivatives markets

  • Thorough knowledge of fixed income and pricing of derivative applications, including swaps, swaptions, caps, floors, and treasury locks.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Experience with Interest Rate ISDA documentation drafting

  • Good understanding and knowledge of ISDA terms

  • Ability to work equally well in a team environment and independently, exhibiting initiative, ownership and flexibility

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects and deadlines simultaneously
