Successful candidates for positions in the U.S. Bank Law Division consistently provide excellent advice and guidance to clients and colleagues, on a variety of legal matters. U.S. Bancorp is seeking an attorney to join the corporate and securities law department of its in-house legal team. We are looking for an individual who can work independently but collaboratively in a fast-paced and collegial team environment. Ideal candidates will have 2 to 4 years of corporate law experience including experience working at a law firm. The individual must have demonstrated recent experience providing advice in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, equity investments, Delaware corporate law, public company disclosure rules and considerations, treasury and finance matters, and other general corporate topics.

Basic Qualifications - Law degree - Licensed by and in good standing with the appropriate state bar association or other appropriate state attorney licensing authority

Preferred Skills/Experience - Advanced knowledge of operations of business unit(s), products, policies and relation to industry - Well-developed leadership abilities and strategic management skills - Excellent analytical, decision-making and problem-solving skills - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Advanced client management, diplomacy and people skills
