U.S. Bank Quantitative Derivatives Analyst in Charlotte, North Carolina

Job Description

Primary responsibility is support and development of SA-CCR/SA-CVA, XVA model and analytics tools, derivatives pricing and hedging operations with specific focus on the complex quantitative methods employed in the valuation and associated risk mitigation. Analyst will be able to contribute to the development, improvement and testing of such tools and conduct optimal hedge analysis to support the desk. In addition, the incumbent will be responsible for the proper implementation and maintenance of all selected valuation models within an object-oriented programming environment including but not limited to model testing, monitoring and creation of model documentation.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field, and eight or more years of relevant experience

OR

  • MA/MS in a quantitative field, and five or more years of related experience

OR

  • PhD in a quantitative field, and four or more years of related experience

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • 5+ years of experience, preferably with financial engineering focusing on derivatives

  • Knowledge of option pricing methodology specifically as it relates to fixed income derivatives

  • Understanding of counterparty credit risk and/or XVA models

  • Familiarity with pricing multiple asset classes individually and within hybrid models (i.e. fixed income, foreign exchange, equity, etc.)

  • Knowledge of optimal hedge algorithms (PCA, etc…)

  • Proven success writing code within visual studio or a comparable, Python experience

  • Experience with regulatory capital/risk rules (SACCR, SIMM etc.) is a plus

  • Experience utilizing server-based calculation solutions, experience with Numerix, Calypso or other analytical platforms is a plus

  • Experience with JIRA is a plus

NOTE: This role is hybrid. Team members who are in a hybrid role typically spend three days a week at the listed U.S. Bank location(s), while having flexibility on their work location for the other working days.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, US Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401k contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $124,695.00 - $146,700.00 - $161,370.00
