Job Description

Fill a critical role by becoming a Relationship Manager for U.S. Bank Corporate Payment and Treasury Solutions. The selected candidate will be required to ensure service excellence and spend growth of bankcard business for the CPS Large Market Relationship Management team in the Western Region. The candidate will be responsible for managing approximately 22 client relationships totaling $1 Billion in annual bankcard spend, while meeting goals for retention, add-on sales, cross-selling, optimizing the portfolio through supplier enablement campaigns, and partnering with Treasury Management Consultants and Bankers to leverage strengths as One U.S. Bank.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing and maintaining senior level client relationships

  • Meeting or exceeding established client spend volume goals while demonstrating U.S. Bank’s core values

  • Deliver client profitability expectations from existing accounts through growth and program optimization

  • Client retention, responding to solicitations and supporting contracting efforts

  • Contract and pricing negotiations

  • Building and presenting business cases and executive business reviews to clients and internal senior leadership

  • Heavy partnership with internal Treasury Management and Wholesale bankers

  • Identifies business opportunities based on knowledge of clients, markets, products and services

  • Makes sales presentations to existing clients and partner with sales on prospective clients

  • Supports implementations of new clients and products with industry knowledge and best practices

  • Understand and anticipate client needs while delivering a high level of client satisfaction

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience

  • 10 or more years of relationship management experience

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • 4 or more years of Commercial Card Experience, Account Management or Sales experience

  • Ability to travel – 20-40% depending on assigned portfolio

  • Considerable knowledge of commercial payment products, client services, and banking operations

  • Knowledge of Electronic Payment and Virtual Payment Industry

  • Excellent marketing and business development/sales skills

  • Strong negotiation and decision-making skills

  • Ability to creatively resolve complex problems with general guidance

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects and deadlines simultaneously

  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, verbal and written communication skills

  • Proficient in MS Office suite

  • Preferred location on the west of the United States

Salary range reflected is an estimate of base pay and is for the primary location. Base pay range may vary if an offer is made for work in a different location. Pay Range: $98,175.00 - $115,500.00 - $127,050.00
